How can we help?
Set up automatic Apple Pay logging, fix a missed tap, or manage your data. Still stuck? Write to us. A real person answers, usually within two working days.
Teach your Coinling to catch your taps
Coinlings works with Wallet via Shortcuts. Apple doesn’t let apps read Wallet directly, so a personal Shortcuts automation passes each Apple Pay tap to Coinlings. It takes about 60 seconds, once. Needs iOS 17 or later.
Step 1: Add the Coinlings shortcut
In Coinlings, open Settings → Auto-capture and tap “Add the shortcut”. It opens our ready-made “Coinlings Payment” shortcut in the Shortcuts app. Tap “Add Shortcut”.
Step 2: Open the Automation tab
In the Shortcuts app, tap Automation at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: Create a new automation
Tap + (New Automation) and choose “Transaction” from the list of triggers.
Step 4: Select all your cards
Choose every Wallet card you pay with, so each tap is caught. Leave the other options on their defaults and tap Next.
Step 5: Make it run silently
Pick “Run Immediately” (and turn off “Notify When Run” if you like) so it never interrupts your payment.
Step 6: Choose “Coinlings Payment”
Select the Coinlings Payment shortcut you added in step 1, then tap Done.
Step 7: Test it
Back in Coinlings, tap “Test it”. When the test payment arrives your Coinling celebrates, and you earn the Tap Tamer badge plus 50 gems.
Tip: in the app, the setup wizard shows each of these screens with pictures. If no capture arrives for a week while you’re logging by hand, your Coinling will ask whether its tap-catcher broke and reopen the wizard.
